Please contact the SNRPC secretary for historical agendas and backup information on the following committees and subcommittees that have been established by the SNRPC.

Federal Lands Disposal Subcommittee
The Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act (SNPLMA) established a process through which the local entities can request parcels of land managed by the BLM to be auctioned off to the public, with the proceeds being utilized for parks, recreation, and open space facilities.  This subcommittee reviews nominations for both the land sales and facilities funding.

A-95 Clearinghouse Subcommittee and Technical Subcommittee
The Office of Management and Budget circular A-95 requires that applications for federal money be reviewed by a state, regional, or metropolitan clearinghouse to encourage each community to consider regional needs in their community development efforts. This subcommittee is responsible for the administration of efforts necessary to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Workforce Housing Subcommittee
This subcommittee was charged with addressing the challenges of maintaining an adequate supply of quality housing for Southern Nevada’s workforce during the period of rapid growth and escalating home prices.

 

Committee on Youth

The SNRPC relinquished oversight in January of 2013 after determining that its mission and goals would be more effectively implemented under the auspices of the United Way of Southern Nevada.  Agendas and background information for meetings convened under the SNRPC can be obtained by contacting the SNRPC secretary.
